- Review project plans to plan and coordinate sequencing production activities
- Create and propose Hardware and Software solutions for sequencing operational needs.
- Research and recommend improvements to the organization’s sequencing environment systems.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and network requirements linked with the sequencing production.
- Constantly monitor and assess the sequencing operation and server resources.
- Collaborate with other IT and operational staff to ensure database integrity, security, and ongoing performance.
- Ensure that hardware is adequately sized and configured; conduct capacity planning scenarios to meet future needs.
- Maintain policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity around the production, mainly around the sequencing
- Check and secure the roadblock, the current break and weakness with our current system.
- Ensure an internal AUDIT on our sequencing system
- Provide support for development processes by participating in data modeling sessions and advising about database design or use of objects.
- Monitor and/or perform hardware and software upgrades for sequencing systems
- Perform database normalization and replication procedures.
- Plan for backup and recovery on the sequencing system
- Control and monitor sequencing production server maintenance and security including appropriate licensing of software.
- Test and install issued patches in conjunction with software providers and vendors or other third parties.
- Develop and maintain expertise through professional associations and professional development opportunities.
- Advise management of new applications or potential enhancements in support of future requirements.
- Act as a technical resource during other projects as required and support management in all IT needs.
- Manage the requirements requested by the sites, coordinating if necessary with the appropriate corporate IT resources.
- Ensure the corporate IT standards appliance, especially concerning hardware, software, security policy, software licenses control, inventory, etc.
- Verify that IT team have defined and applied proper IT procedures around the production and sequencing environment
- Organize a monthly meeting with each site to discuss an "Action Plan", giving both a status report and a plan of action on the sequencing and production activities.

- BAC + 5 minimum in Information Technology
- Five years experience in Information Technology environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer system design and analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge in production environment
- Able to interpret the operational requirements of production, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure changes, errors, and subsequent modifications.
- Strong working knowledge of network programs.
- Able to stay abreast of current and future technological developments or trends.
- Diplomatic, good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to manage a functional team remotely
- Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
